Contributors
To highlight the valuable contributions of culture world-wide the Netd@ys Oz 2003 website is sharing student work. If you are a registered school or class you are invited to share your cultural stories, articles, poetry, photos, music, short videos or artwork.

To submit your contributions follow the instructions below.

If you want to contribute and share your work you need to send within the text an approval for EdNA Online to use the student work samples on the Netd@ys Oz website and promotional material.

If you want to view student contributions click on 'Student Work'. This will not be active until we have contributions. Music, video and artwork will only be a small sample of contributions. Others will appear throughout the site and on promotional material. This approval should be included with work.

What types of student work can you contribute?

Cultural stories or articles

Want to be a Junior Journalist? Write a short article describing your or someone else's experience or opinions related to cultural diversity, identity, immigration etc.

Poetry

Express yourself in words about celebrating who you are and cultural contributions.

Photographs

Send us your cultural photographs to be included in promotional material and through out the website. Please remember to get parental permission for all photographs if they include students. Also include a permission to use the photographs on the Netd@ys Oz website and promotional material.

What does an Australian look like?
Using digital photography (or a standard camera) and a graphics package (eg Photoshop) create a "typical" Australian student using a collage of the students in your class. Look at eyes, nose, arms, legs, jewellery, hair, etc and then give your "typical" Australian a typically Australian name.

Netd@ys Oz Radio Bytes

You will have the opportunity to develop a 15 - 30 minute radio program that will be transmitted by traditional radio emissions through the Melbourne SYN FM (Community Youth Radio Network), with a simultaneous broadcast through an Internet Feed allowing interested students throughout Australia and the world to hear the broadcast over the internet.

There is a nominal cost for this event (less than $1 Au a minute for air time.) Please contact the netdays coordinator in your state to discuss any financial, equipment or PD support they may be able to offer you. Remember it takes a few weeks to produce a show so you will need to complete and submit the expression of interest form to develop a radio documentary as soon as possible so that you can have the documentary approved (we do not want the same idea transmitted by more than one group) and get started with developing your master piece. You will also find additional information in the teachers area.

See further information by downloading the Word or PDF, Radio Bytes document.

Artwork

Be a famous artist. Express yourself. Share your creativity with others. All artwork needs to be submitted in an electronic format.

Music and video

Ready for a #1 Hit? Yes it can be you! Empower others.

Your own web page

Perhaps you have developed your own web page based on our theme. Submit your URL (website address) and we will post the link from the Netd@ys website.
