St Anthony's Primary School
Year 5 Class |
St Anthony's was opened by the Sisters
of St Joseph who arrived in Picton in May 1880. In a letter to Mary
MacKillop the Sisters said "We like this place ... it is very
beautiful. We expect to have a good school before long. The people
are extremely kind." Picton is still 'very beautiful' and the
people 'extremely kind', but the school has grown from 12 students
to over 400 students. There are 30 students in Yr. 5W both boys and
girls aged between 10 and 11 yrs. Looking forward to hearing from
you. |

Our school is a Catholic primary
school in Richmond, west of Sydney and
at the foot of the Blue Mountains. There are two classes in each grade,
just over 400 children altogether. Children at the school come from
the
Hawkesbury region and some lower mountains towns. Richmond is an old
and historic town, one of Governor Macquarie's Five towns. We are
looking forward to meeting children from around Australia and overseas. |
