in a small independent school on the south coast of Western Australia.
Our city has a population of about 30 000 and is four and a half hours'
drive south of Perth. Our school has children from four to twelve

South/Port Hedland is town
of ~15 000. As it is a town in the northwest there is a culture of
Aboriginals and the school
consists of 25% Aboriginal. The school also has 10% Malay and a broad
range of cultures from other countries. The Year 10 class I wanted
to try this project with is one of low abilities who strive on project
work.
There is the occasional celebration whereby cultures are identifies
but this is usually done separate with each culture. |
